APoetry.com stands for audio poetry, and it is a project with 3 main goals.
1. Make classic poetry more accessible to the new generations by having it read by voices which they recognize.
2. Compile those recordings, and make them easily and freely accessible on the web.
3. Raise money and awareness for educational charities.
We are currently seeking:
Celebrities: So you finally made it up there? Give some
back by donating your time for a good cause by recording your reading of
poetry.
Voice Impersonators: Can you amaze your friends with your
Sean Connery voice? What about Donald Duck? We need you.
Website hosting: we need affordable or preferable free
hosting
Website programmers: as our collection will grow larger,
we will need a database... do you have what it takes?
Literature Critic: Are you an astute individual that knows
how to circumnavigate from Edgar A. Poe to Bill Shakespeare?
Poetry Lover: Do you have good suggestions of poems or
poets to contact?
Poets: Want to publish your poem.. the way it should be
heard?
Charities: Do you represent a noteworthy cause? Let us
know.
Intellectual Law Esquire: we can always use your help,
of course all work would be pro-bono.. or close to it.
Partners: Do you run an educational website? Let us talk.
